Kaitlyn has been a swim instructor and swim coach for the last 20 years and has an extensive background in adapted aquatics. Before relocating to Waterloo, Kaitlyn was an adapted aquatics instructor, Para Swim Coach and Special Olympics Swim coach at Variety Village. Kaitlyn is also a certified swim coach and currently coach’s competitive swimmers within the Region.

During her time at Variety Village she successfully placed a swimmer on two consecutive Paralympic World Championship teams for the S9 100m Fly, and 50 Free. Kaitlyn is the recipient of two national awards for her time coaching at Variety Village. A Speedo Award of Excellence for coaching two athletes to Canadian records, as well as a CSTCA award for being the coach of a national title holder.
